Information For Learners
You need to be licensed in order to learn to drive. For most people this means obtaining a Northern Ireland provisional licence. You will find application forms at main Post Offices, or driving test centres.
After this, you will take Driving Lessons before you must undergo a series of tests (Theory and Practical). You can learn more about this on our Driving Test page.

Driving Test
The Driving Test
In order to qualify for a Full UK License, you need to pass both a Driving Theory test, and a Practical Driving test.
The Theory Test
The Driving Theory Test must be passed before a Practical Driving Test can be booked. This consists of:
- Multiple choice questions
- A Hazard perception test
The Practical Driving Test
The Practical Driving test consists of:
- An eyesight test
- “Show Me, Tell Me”
- A practical examination of your driving skills

We Will:
- Give you the full time that you pay for
- Ensure that we are on time
- Your tuition will be on a one to one basis unless otherwise requested
- Endeavour to provide the same car and instructor for your lessons
- Provide (if requested) a receipt for any payments
- Tell you as soon as possible, if it is necessary to reschedule a lesson
You will:
- Ensure that you are on time
- Give us 48 hours notice of cancellation, if not you will be expected to pay
- Listen and take on board all advice given by your instructor
- Be courteous to other road users
