The Theory Test

The Driving Theory Test must be passed before a Practical Driving Test can be booked, and consists of two parts.

Multiple Choice Examination

The Multiple Choice examination is a computer based test. You will be given 50 questions, of which you must answer 43 correctly to pass.

Hazard Perception Test

This is a series of video clips, showing various driving situations. You are required to recognise and react to hazards as they develop.

There are 14 clips with 15 Hazards to spot. 1 of the 14 clips contains 2 hazards.

There are a number of computer based training aids available on CD or DVD.
